Belarus has started to supply poultry meat to China, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to Aleksei Bogdanov, head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the ministry, Belarusian enterprises have already supplied 207 tons of poultry meat to China.

Meanwhile, China had certified five Belarusian factories to export poultry to China, Bogdanov said.

By the end of the year, Belarus plans to expand the range of products for export to include offal, legs and some other parts of poultry not included in the original list.

The official mentioned that earlier his country also started to supply beef to the Chinese market, with two enterprises already certified.

In the first nine months of this year, Belarus' export of meat and meat products to China amounted to 320 tons with a total value of over 1 million U.S. dollars, he said.
