Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati has recalled more than 4,300 vehicles in China over leaking fuel lines, according to China's market regulator.

The recall involved 3,282 imported Quattroporte vehicles manufactured between March 22, 2013 and June 17, 2015 and 1,054 Ghibli cars manufactured from Sept. 27, 2013 to June 11, 2015.

Irregular installation of fuel lines may cause fuel leakage which increases the risk of a fire, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Maserati will replace the defective fuel lines free of charge for the recalled vehicles.
