JD reports 22 pct. revenue growth in Q4

Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com on Thursday reported a 22-percent year-on-year increase in net revenues for the fourth quarter of 2018.

According to unaudited financial results released by the NASDAQ-listed online retailer, net revenues for the last quarter in 2018 hit 135 billion yuan (19.6 billion U.S. dollars).

Net revenues for the full year of 2018 reached 462 billion yuan, with an increase of 27.5 percent year-on-year.

Non-GAAP net income from continuing operations attributable to ordinary shareholders for the fourth quarter was 749.9 million yuan. Non-GAAP net income for the whole year was 3.5 billion yuan, compared with 5 billion yuan in 2017, the report said.

JD.com said its annual active customer accounts in 2018 grew to 305.3 million from 292.5 million in 2017.
