The Shanghai Consumer Council on Thursday demanded Chinese popular online video platform, Bilibili to respond to the accusation that it has deliberately lowered the winning rate of its raffle.

Bilibili is suspected of infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and is required to treat consumers honestly and make a convincing explanation as soon as possible, the statement said.

The website failed to make any positive responses to the accusations in the last two meetings with the council, and the council will follow up the issue, the statement said.

Recently, a leak of Bilibili's source code exposed the company's illegal raffle manipulations.

Established in June 2009, Bilibili is one of China's leading online video sharing and entertainment platforms. The company became listed on the NASDAQ in March last year.
