China seized infringing goods worth 41.05 million yuan (about US$6 million) in the first quarter, customs figures showed.
The infringement involved 4,612 batches of imported and exported goods in Q1, up 49% year on year, with 16.54 million items, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) said.
The administration also approved 2,714 applications for the protection of intellectual property rights in Q1, up 11.3% year on year.
Chinese customs has stepped up efforts to protect the intellectual property rights of foreign-invested enterprises through a special campaign to create a better business environment, according to the GAC.
In terms of cross-boarder e-commerce, the customs has comprehensively cracked down on bogus products both online and offline.
