China's leading entertainment company Perfect World reported 8 billion yuan (US$1.19 billion) in revenue last year, according to the company's annual report released on Monday.

In 2018, Perfect World realized a 1.7-billion-yuan net income attributable to owners of the parent company, an increase of over 20 million yuan compared with 2017, which was a 13.38% increase year-on-year.

Its 2019 first quarter results showed earnings of over 2 billion yuan, an increase of 13.26% year-on-year.

The 2018 Annual Report also showed that Perfect World achieved good results in globalization, by registering overseas earnings of around 14.8 billion yuan, which was a 20.09% increase year-on-year.

Perfect World is an A-share listed company and is involved in business segments including games, movies & TV, cinemas, animation, literature, media, and education.
