Revenue of China's postal industry expands 21.5% in Jan.-Aug.

China's postal industry saw a 21.5% rise in business revenue year on year to reach 606 billion yuan (US$85.16 billion) in the first eight months, data from the State Post Bureau showed.

The postal industry continued to gain momentum, with its business volume surging 31.1% year on year to 982.94 billion yuan, said the bureau.

In August, the industry's business revenue jumped 22.9% to 77.28 billion yuan while business volume expanded by 37.2% to 134.92 billion yuan.

The country's express delivery sector has seen faster expansion, as express delivery firms made 38.3 billion deliveries from January to August, up 26.6% year on year. Business revenue of these firms jumped 24.4% year on year to come in at 462.18 billion yuan over the same period.
