The 2019 Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait will be held in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, between Nov. 3 and 5, a mainland spokesperson said Wednesday.

The summit, with the theme of "deepening integrated development and fostering a common market," will include an opening ceremony, keynote speeches and a series of thematic forums, said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

About 1,000 people including entrepreneurs from both sides of the Strait, heads of business organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises and young entrepreneurs of start-ups will attend the summit, according to Ma.

Since it was launched in 2013, the summit has played a positive role in promoting cross-Strait economic exchanges and cooperation as well as peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, Ma said.
