Chinese tech giant Tencent reported steady revenue growth in the third quarter (Q3) of this year, with its fintech and corporate services reporting robust expansion.

The company raked in 97.23 billion yuan (about 13.75 billion U.S. dollars) in Q3, up 21 percent over one year ago, Tencent said in an unaudited financial statement Wednesday.

Revenue from fintech and business services rose 36 percent to 26.75 billion yuan thanks to the greater number of daily active consumers and transactions per user, as well as revenue growth from cloud services, the statement said.

Online game revenue grew by 11 percent to 28.6 billion yuan in Q3.

The combined monthly active users of Tencent's popular social media platform WeChat reached 1.15 billion, up 6 percent year on year, according to the statement.
