China's leading high-tech electronics and home appliances conglomerate TCL Corporation has reached a deal to integrate the Israeli DSP Group's audio technology into its Alcatel tablets, both companies announced Monday.

Their announcements did not disclose the value of the deal, but the Israeli media estimated it at 20 million U.S. dollars.

Chips of the Israeli company's smart voice technology, SmartVoice, will be embedded in the Alcatel 3T 10 tablet.

This model is part of TCL's new generation of tablets manufactured by its French subsidiary Alcatel.

The Israeli system enhances the audio experience on voice-activated devices such as tablets, smartphones, smart speakers and wearable accessories.

DSP Group, a global leader in wireless chipsets, was founded in 1987 and headquartered in the coastal city of Herzliya.

The Israeli company trades on Nasdaq with a market cap of about 357 million dollars.

TCL, founded in 1981 and headquartered in the southern Chinese city of Huizhou, is traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange with a market cap of about 58.6 billion dollars.

The Chinese company hires about 75,000 employees in more than 160 countries and regions, and has 28 laboratories and R&D centers worldwide.
