Zhou Naixiang meets with CEO of Kone Corporation

On Jan. 13, Zhou Naixiang, chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), met with Henrik Ehrnrooth, president and CEO of Kone Corporation, and William B. Johnson, vice president of Kone, in Beijing. The two parties spoke over deepening cooperation and playing to their respective strengths.

Zhou extended a warm welcome to Ehrnrooth and the other guests, and gave a brief introduction of CSCEC’s developments. He said Kone is a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry with long-standing businesses and worldwide reputations, providing excellent products and services to many major projects in and outside China. For years, CSCEC and Kone have maintained great cooperative relations, as they shared the same pursuit of safety, quality, and innovations. Zhou said he is very much looking forward to joint efforts in research and development in vertical transportation of super high-rise and jump lift technologies, as well as to deepened cooperation in overseas market, particularly those brought by the Belt and Road Initiative.

Ehrnrooth expressed gratitude to the long-term support from CSCEC. He introduced Kone’s developments in China and the rest of the world, stressing that Kone highly values its relationship with CSCEC and will endeavor to better serve CSCEC’s major projects and meet its strategic demands with brand advantages, technology research and development, and quality enhancement.

The meeting was also attended by officials from various CSCEC departments and subsidiaries.
