China's beer industry sees stable growth in 2019

China's beer industry reported steady expansion in 2019 with leading output and growth rate in the alcohol-making sector, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed.

The annual output of companies above designated size came in at 37.65 million kiloliters, up 1.1 percent year on year, according to the NBS.

In December alone, the output increased 17.1 percent year on year to 2.42 million kiloliters.

Chinese alcohol-making enterprises above designated size saw their output reach 55.90 million kiloliters in 2019, up 0.3 percent over one year earlier, NBS data showed.
