Chinese tech firm Huawei on Thursday presented its vision of a digital future as well as a series of ultra-light laptops and earphones in the Spanish capital of Madrid.

The study outlining Huawei's vision was carried out with the aid of the company Fast Future, which specializes in future tendencies and focuses on the future impact of 5G networks, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and connected technology.

Digital transformation expert Silvia Leal told Xinhua that "technology is coming that is going to let us have a better job, because new technology can look for a job that will suit us more. We will have more robots and artificial intelligence, which will give us food from the best chefs without having to ask for it or go look for it."

Leal explained that 5G would allow "even better relationships with our friends," such as "multi-sensory experiences, or even allow us to view events from different perspectives." It would also offer important health benefits, such as faster diagnosis of problems.

The event also saw the presentation of Huawei's FreeBuds 3 wireless headphones and a new series of ultra-light laptops. The Huawei MateBook D 15 and the Huawei MateBook D 14 offer users the chance to manage multiple screens and contain a range of intelligent capabilities.

Fabio Arena, product manager at Huawei Spain, said this was the start of a busy year for Huawei.

"This year we are going to launch almost 50 products under the Huawei brand. We believe the smartphone is the pillar of our ecosystem and consumers know our phones well, but we also want them to know that we are also leaders in 5G technology, routers, wearables, watches and headphones," he said.

Arena added that Huawei was "the smartphone producer that sold the largest number of 5G handsets in 2019," explaining that this was due to the company's position as a "leader in providing 5G networks," which allows the company to be present in other sectors and reach the public with different prices.
