On Feb. 3, Zhou Naixiang, chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), visited the construction site of Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan, the makeshift hospital built purposefully for treating patients with the novel coronavirus pneumonia.
He inspected the main building, isolation wards, and living and working areas for medical workers, and expressed cordial greetings and sincere thanks to the frontline staff working day and night for seven consecutive days.
At the on-location meeting, Zhou was briefed on the progress of the project, the obstacles facing the construction team, and planned solutions. He gave requirements for the project, saying that all project members should recognize the complex and onerous nature of the project. He urged coordinated efforts in continuing the project. He also called on workers to complete the project as scheduled, do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic on the construction site, and ensure supplies for the staff.
CSCEC will go all out to support the construction of Leishenshan Hospital, mobilize resources needed as soon as possible, and make coordinated efforts to deal with difficulties during the project, Zhou said.
