China's motorcycle market rebounded in April with both production and sales reporting rapid month-on-month increases, according to the motorcycle chapter of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM Motorcycle).
The domestic market has "basically recovered" as the novel coronavirus epidemic wanes, said the CAAM Motorcycle.
Motorcycle output rose 10.38 percent month on month to 1.54 million units in April. The figure also represented a 10.38-percent year-on-year growth, data showed.
Sales jumped 21.54 percent from March and were 17.89 percent higher than April last year.
For the first four months of the year, output and sales reached 4.24 million units and 4.32 million units, respectively.
However, weighed down by the prolonged pandemic outside China, the country's motorcycle exports decreased by 8.47 percent year on year to 365 million U.S. dollars last month.
