On June 25, a ceremony was held in Egypt's new administrative capital to mark the beginning of the large-scale installation of the curtain wall units in the Central Business District (CBD) project's P4 section. Chang Weicai, general manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Egypt, Zhang Shanyou, chief engineer of CSCEC Egypt, and more than 30 others attended the event.

Chang spoke highly of the project progress. He called for the project department to organize carefully, deploy resources efficiently, complete the follow-up work in an orderly manner, and strive for the efficient and successful completion of the company's annual operational goals.

As the pandemic drags on, CSCEC Egypt has been adhering to the principle of properly coordinating pandemic prevention and production, and a series of steps regarding the curtain wall have been completed, including check and acceptance of Visual Mock-Up (VMU), Performance Mock-Up (PMU) testing, approval of drawings and construction materials, check and acceptance of the curtain wall unit panels on site, etc. In addition to the P4 section, other sections will also start the curtain wall project soon, marking the large-scale installation stage of the curtain walls in the CBD project.

The project will take advantage of the progress made in the curtain wall system to further accelerate project delivery amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and thereby to better promote the local economic development.
