CSCEC reports business performance of H1 2020

On July 23, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) reported its business performance of the first half of 2020. According to the report, newly signed contracts totaled 1.5101 trillion yuan, up 5.2% from the same period last year.  

Specifically, the value of newly signed construction contracts grew by 6.2% year on year to 1.3294 trillion yuan. This included 1.0617 trillion yuan in housing construction (up 2.6% year on year), 261 billion yuan in infrastructure construction (up 23.6 % year on year), and 6.8 billion yuan in survey and design (up 23.2% year on year).

From the market perspective, the value of newly signed contracts of both domestic and overseas markets maintained steady growths. In particular, the value of new overseas contracts surged by 18.8% year on year to 98.2 billion yuan.  

In property development and investment, during the reporting period, CSCEC achieved a value of 180.7 billion yuan in sales, with the area sold totaling 10.06 million square meters. Its land bank hit 124.62 million square meters, with newly purchased lands totaling 9.08 million square meters.
