On Sept. 8, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the design and construction for road upgrading and construction in Busabala-Najjanankumbi.

The project covers both design and construction of the 11-kilometer asphalt road and the 17-kilometer unsealed service road between Busabala and Najjanankumbi.. The project also covers four interchanges, two pedestrian overpasses, and supporting facilities. It is the second EPC project obtained by CSCEC-Kenya and its third road project signed with the UNRA.
