A batch of skincare products from the United States became the first exhibits to clear customs in Shanghai for this year's China International Import Expo on Monday.

The goods were delivered by COSCO Shipping Air Freight Co from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and will be displayed at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) during Nov. 5 to 10.

A special customs office has been set up at the expo venue to provide convenience for exhibitors, and for the first time it started customs clearance for online CIIE exhibits.

Companies can upload electronic documents to apply for customs clearance, and customs will review the documents online before allowing them to pass clearance.

The expo organizer has started preparing for the transportation of the exhibits since August, and signed agreements with the Shanghai airport authority, COSCO and China Eastern to provide fast lane and comprehensive transportation service for CIIE exhibits.
