The Luohu Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a conference on Sept.29 to study and promote various deployments by the Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal authorities.

The meeting, presided over by Luohu Party chief Luo Yude, also confirmed relevant works regarding the district's economic and social development and COVID-19 pandemic control during the National Day holiday.

Attendees stressed that, this year, is the finishing one for completing all the tasks of poverty alleviation, and the construction of a moderately well-off society in an all-round way, poverty alleviation in Tibet and Xinjiang being important parts of both tasks.

Therefore, Luohu should deepen its understanding of the importance of the work of assisting Tibet and Xinjiang and continuously consolidate the previous achievements in helping the two regions to win the battle against poverty.

Luohu should seek to achieve synergy in assisting the two regions by selecting excellent officials and professionals to help Tibet and Xinjiang promote development while strengthening exchanges with them in science, public health, culture and tourism.

In addition, Luohu should consolidate ethnic unity, and publicize the importance of this as a model in it, so as to make a due contribution to Shenzhen's own ethnic unity.

Meeting attendees pointed out that during the National Day holiday there should be persons on duty at all necessary posts with pre-arranged planning and guarantee mechanisms for emergencies; the high pressure work of pandemic control should be maintained, and there must be emergency plans for any outbreak of COVID-19 during the holiday, ensuring all relevant departments could seamlessly cope with all potential risks.

The health code, temperature measurement and registration systems must be strictly carried out to consolidate the fruits of pandemic control so far; all relevant departments must try their best to guarantee work safety and implement an accountability system.

All aspects of work safety must be undertaken carefully so that all potential risks can be identified and addressed in time; the security guards and patrols in key places and crowded public sites must be carried out to the letter to guarantee the stability of social order and let the people enjoy a happy and safe holiday.
