CSCEC awarded for contributing to China-Egypt collaboration against COVID-19

On Sept. 28, the Chinese Embassy in Egypt hosted an online reception to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. During the event, awards were presented to organizations and individuals that made exceptional contributions to the China–Egypt collaboration in fighting the pandemic and cementing the friendship between two countries. China State Construction Engineering Corporation’s (CSCEC) Egypt branch received the "Outstanding Contribution Award" for its achievements.

Xiao Jun, minister of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, said in the award ceremony that CSCEC’s innovative approaches to battling COVID-19 in the course of the New Capital CBD project struck a balance between fighting against the pandemic and restoring production, contributing significantly to the Egyptian society by creating stable jobs and maintaining regular operations.

Hala Zayed, minister of health and population of Egypt, Liao Liqiang, Chinese ambassador to Egypt, as well as officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and parliament also attended the online reception and delivered speeches.
