CSCEC launches cloud open day series (I)

China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd.(CSCEC) launched a virtual open day event series called "Witness Happiness" in Beijing on Aug. 27.

Through various videos about "Virtual open day for CSCEC projects" and "CSCEC in the eyes of local staff," the event aims to recount the stories of the company's commitment to preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic for its projects at home and abroad, and supporting its employees around the world to improve their lives.

Topping-out of Malaysia IOI City Plaza

IOI City Mall is located in Putrajaya, Malaysia. With about 660,000 square meters, the project is being constructed to become the largest urban complex project in the federal territory, serving multiple functions including office space, shopping, recreation, and tourism. 

"Constructed by China" - the first clean-coal power plant in the Middle East

As the first clean-coal power plant in the Middle East capable of conducting bi-fuel operations, Hassyan Clean-coal Power Plant is scheduled to be fully operational with all four units by 2023. It is expected to provide 20% of the power supply of Dubai, while guaranteeing the power supply of Expo Dubai. 

"Aid to Cambodia" hospital construction project

With a construction area of 33,000 square meters in Phnom Penh, the hospital has a surgical-care unit with 400 beds, as well as infrastructures and facilities for a wide range of health care purposes. 

A tour of the Kenyan affordable housing project 

Covering an area of 7.9 acres with 1,370 apartment units and supporting facilities like a kindergarten and commercial space, the project is designed to address the growing need for affordable housing in Kenya, while boosting public confidence in the government's commitment to improving living standards and the well-being of people in need. 

Experiencing traditional Chinese festivals in Dubai

Contracted to the third bureau of CSCEC with a total construction area of about 200,000 square meters, Dubai DAMAC Villa Project will be the first villa cluster in Dubai upon completion. 

My Mid-Autumn Festival in Africa

The four-bridge project in Abidjan of Côte d'Ivoire stretches 7.5 kilometers and will be tasked with decreasing the city's traffic density. It will provide nearly 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction, and create around 2,000 jobs in adjacent industries. The project also aims to elevate local workers by offering them technical training. 

A tour of the construction of Phnom Penh's new airport

With a total construction area of 210,000 square meters, a contract value of US$595 million, and a total investment of US$1.5 billion, the airport will be a new landmark of Phnom Penh upon completion.

The Bulim Square and Infrastructure Project in Singapore, as a part of the innovation industrial park led by Singaporean government, will be a landmark in Jurong with integrated functions of scientific research, design, training, development, automated manufacturing, and logistics.

Oyala, the next national capital of Equatorial Guinea, is still under construction. It is also planned to be the national cultural center and transportation hub of the inland area that takes on a leading role in economic activities. The project contracted to CSCEC covers an area of 408,500 square meters.

A tour of the largest national convention and exhibition center in northern China

The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Tianjin), the largest building of its type in northern China, comprises a construction area of 480,000 square meters in phase 1 and 560,000 square meters in phase 2. The roof area is 700,000 square meters, equivalent to 100 football fields.

A tour of Han Culture Expo Park in Hanzhong

With a total construction area of 118,800 square meters, Han Culture Expo Park in Hanzhong, Shaanxi, will be the permanent venue for the World Conference of Han Culture, the World Conference of Chinese Language, and the World Conference of Sinology, showcasing the charms of the Han culture to the public.
