Beijing recently established an expert advisory committee to optimize the capital's business environment. A total of 47 individuals recommended by the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, were selected with the approval of the municipal government.

The expert advisory committee will gather a group of entrepreneurs, experts, and scholars to directly participate in reforms of the city's business environment, further enhancing effective policy formulation so that enterprises and the public have a real sense of gain.

On April 28 this year, regulations for the optimization of Beijing's business environment came into effect, which stipulated that "Beijing shall establish a sound mechanism for optimizing the discussion and coordination of the business environment and establish an expert advisory committee."

According to an official from Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, "The establishment of an expert advisory committee is an important manifestation of the government's openness, transparency in decision-making, and is of landmark significance for Beijing to build a world-class business environment."

The expert advisory committee is a non-profit organization that provides consultation services to help guide, optimize, and reform the city's business environment. With the help of several special groups under it, including the market environment group, the government service group, and the supervision and law enforcement group, the committee is responsible for conducting targeted research on major issues concerning the city's business environment, provide decision-making references, technical consultation and evaluation opinions, and generally supervise the city's business environment.
