China's logistics activities moderated last month due to the week-long Spring Festival holiday, industry data showed.

The index tracking e-commerce logistics activities stood at 108.9 points in February, down 1.4 percentage points from the previous month, according to an industry survey jointly conducted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and e-commerce giant JD.com.

Sub-indexes tracking logistics timeliness and inventory turnover rose while those tracking total business volume, cost and fulfilment rate went down in February.

The survey attributed slower e-commerce logistics activity to understaffing and rising costs companies faced during the holiday. It expected demand for e-commerce logistics to rebound as epidemic situation continues to ease and Spring Festival travel rush finishes.
