Hycore, an innovative industrial platform, is transforming Beijing's Shunyi district into a hub for global talents and an incubator for high-tech business projects. So far, it has helped establish 46 high-quality startups in the area.

The platform sits in the core area of Shunyi's international talent community and the economy demo zone of Beijing Capital International Airport. As such, it features several unique geographical advantages such as a sound foundation for industrial development, a steady foreign population, and internationalized support facilities.

Song Jia, deputy general manager of Beijing Hycore Innovation, said that the platform's target clients are high-quality overseas talents who intend to start doing business in Beijing. According to Song, these entrepreneurs are well-educated, highly experienced, equipped with fine R&D capabilities, and are familiar with international business rules.

Using the platform, Shunyi district established the city's first "HICOOL Service Manager," a derivative of the HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition. It provides a total of 115 kinds of services across 24 categories for both enterprises and entrepreneurs.

Services provided for enterprises include help with business registration, human resources, policy consultation, intellectual property-related issues, taxation, and legal affairs, to name a few. Meanwhile, individuals can also easily access services related to household registration, ID application, social insurance, and children's education.

"HICOOL Service Manager is dedicated to providing one-stop-shop for startups and expanding businesses, creating a foreigner-friendly environment for them," said Song.

Looking ahead, the platform plans to establish additional services such as HICOOL Business College and HICOOL Industrial Park in a bid to facilitate an innovative business ecosystem in the region. The HICOOL Business College, which is set for release in late May, will provide top-level startup-related courses for entrepreneurs and help compile relevant resources in one place. It will also help business operators avoid risks, helping to foster more new-generation unicorn companies.

Launched on April 16, 2021, the second HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition has become a hit among startup projects around the world. Outstanding projects will be honored at the summit in late August.
