Eleven companies in Beijing's Haidian district have been listed in 2021, raising the number of the district's listed companies to 245 and leading all other Chinese prefecture-level cities and districts.

The companies cover a wide variety of fields including bio-medicine, communication engineering, and artificial intelligence. Among the ten companies listed in the first half of 2021, some were listed on the STAR Market, and more than half of them were listed either in Hong Kong or the U.S. 

Through the listings, the companies raised over 73.3 billion yuan (US$11.3 billion), almost twice as much as newly listed companies previously raised in the same period of 2020.

A total of 86 companies in Haidian are now planning to go public. To support their efforts, the financial authorities in the district are closely following the reform of the financial market, providing consultations and services to those companies.

The district will continue to incubate and provide training and other services for companies that have the ability to go public, a person in charge of the Haidian Financial Service Office said.
