Beijing Chinese-Foreign Translation & Information Service (CTIS) launched an online platform on Friday at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) to help Chinese enterprises to go global and facilitate their overseas businesses.
The platform, called Qianxing Chuhai, is designed according to the international development of Chinese industries, and aims to meet China's "go global" strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Lu Cairong, deputy president of China International Publishing Group (CIPG) which CTIS is affiliated to, said he expects that, with the help of the platform, Chinese enterprises will better understand foreign cultures, adapt to foreign environments, and thus promote their development overseas.
Using big data technologies, the platform translates information in foreign languages into Chinese, which can help enterprises to remove language barriers and export their high-quality products and culture, said Yang Yuqian, chairman of CTIS.
According to CTIS, the platform is one of the national key projects for cultural exports in 2021.
A national artificial intelligence assistance translation platform, guided by CIPG and jointly built by CTIS and iFLYTEK, also debuted on Friday.
