A total of 194 projects worth over 87 billion yuan (about 13.5 billion U.S. dollars) were signed at an international high-tech expo held from Sept. 8 to 10 in Mianyang, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Over 200 scholars and experts held offline discussions during the three-day event on aerospace science and technology, new materials, regional cooperation, innovation, and artificial intelligence, said the organizer.

Over 2,200 exhibits were also displayed online during the event, including China's domestically-developed deep-sea manned submersible "Fendouzhe" (Striver) and suborbital commercial carrier rockets.

According to the organizer, the online exhibition has attracted over 2.35 million viewers as of 11 a.m. on Friday.

Founded in 2013, the China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City International High-tech Expo has attracted exhibitors from 5,761 companies of over 60 countries and regions, with 19,000 deals worth about 714.6 billion yuan signed.
