Overseas institutions held more bonds in China's interbank bond market last month, official data showed.
By the end of August, bonds in China's interbank market held by foreign institutions totaled 3.78 trillion yuan (about 585.45 billion U.S. dollars), said the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office in its latest report.
The figure was higher than 3.77 trillion yuan registered at the end of July.
Last month, a total of 10 new foreign institutional investors entered China's interbank bond market, and 981 overseas institutions were in the market at the end of August, the report showed.
