An exhibition center for AI-assisted living was launched in Beijing's Zhangjiawan Design Town, displaying concepts and products for life in the future.

The facility was initiated by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology as part of the city's efforts to encourage enterprises in the AI field to work on products related to AI-assisted living, and enhance their R&D capacity.

Some smart products on display at the exhibition center are made to provide services to vulnerable groups. One such product is a blanket with an automatic alert system, which sends out an alarm when it detects a sudden fall of its user - like an elderly person or a pregnant woman.

A set of AI applications to be used for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games are displayed there as well, including an intelligent parking assistance system and a pair of visual aid goggles.

The staff at the facility are already being helped by some of the available smart products, such the automated cafeteria, self-service beer machine, and automated dining car.
