A total of 42 freight trains on the China-Laos Railway departed from and arrived in China during the week-long Spring Festival holiday, Kunming Customs in southwest China's Yunnan Province said Monday.

The freight trains carried 20,300 tonnes of cargo worth 217 million yuan (about 34 million U.S. dollars) from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6.

The customs said more than 100 varieties of goods, including standard-gauge railway passenger cars, power lines, and servers were exported from China, and the imported goods included natural rubber, cassava starch, and iron ore, according to the customs.

As of Sunday, more than 300 international freight trains carrying 126,600 tonnes of cargo had departed from and arrived in China via the China-Laos Railway.
