China's power generation rises 4% in first two months

China's power generation rose 4% year on year to reach 1.31 trillion kilowatt-hours in the first two months of 2022, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) shows.

The growth rate reversed a year-on-year decline of 2.1% registered in December.

In breakdown, thermal power generation rose 4.3% year on year, and hydropower output jumped 8.2% from a year ago.

Nuclear power and solar power generation increased 9.6% and 6.5%, respectively, while wind power output fell 7.6%, NBS data shows.
