Beijing will distribute more than 300 million yuan worth of consumption vouchers from April to September 2022 to promote green development and energy conservation. 

The consumption vouchers will be issued in six batches from April to September on the 18th day of every month through 10 e-commerce platforms. The green consumption vouchers can be used to purchase more than 20,000 products of 20 categories including laptops, tablets, TVs, air conditioners, fridges, washing machines, water heaters and microwave ovens. 

Since 2015, Beijing has rolled out two rounds of policies aimed at conserving energy and cutting emissions. These efforts have helped companies sell more than 11 million energy-saving products, with the sales volume totaling nearly 42 billion yuan. These products saved a total of 760 million kilowatt-hours of power and 2.09 million metric tons of water, and reduced carbon emissions by 522,000 metric tons.
