Shunyi district in Beijing has taken a lead in implementing differentiated supportive policies for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As of the end of March, the district counted a total of 207 state-recognized specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products.
Innovative SMEs in Shunyi have been classified into three different categories based on their development stages. The government will provide customized policy support to these businesses, said Zhang Zheng, deputy director of the district's Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
