Chinese telecom giants plan to showcase their latest self-reliant sci-tech innovations at the Telecommunications, Computers, and Information Services exhibition at this year's China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

These innovations, developed by China Unicom and China Telecom, include the latest 5G application achievements, futuristic technologies applied during the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and phone calls protected by quantum encryption.

China Unicom will display its "triple gigabit" network infrastructure, which offers gigabit 5G, broadband, and wireless internet connection services, allowing users to control smart home devices from their cell phones.

More smart home devices, such as intelligent doorbells and remote learning applications, will be introduced to households in Beijing. Brand new technologies concerning digital finance and 5G telecommunication, as well as innovations in the construction of the smart city, digital village, and digital government, will also be exhibited at the upcoming CIFTIS.

In partnership with Huawei, China Unicom will unveil an upgraded version of the private 5G network and display its latest application in cutting-edge industrial fields. Moreover, 5G studios and other technologies applied during the 2022 Winter Games will also open for public visits during the CIFTIS.

China Telecom plans to showcase its quantum encryption phone call technologies, 5G remote control systems, and cloud monitoring systems for disaster relief at the fair.

The Telecommunications, Computers, and Information Services Exhibition of this year's CIFTIS will take place in two pavilions in Beijing's Shougang Park. The exhibition will be double the size of last year. The exhibition, divided into digital telecom technologies and metaverse applications, will showcase cutting-edge technologies and achievements in the field.
