Beijing's Dongcheng district is expected to sign two major deals worth 600 million yuan (US$88 million) in the fields of medical services and cutting-edge technologies at the upcoming 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).
As one of the first batch of national demonstration zones for cultural and financial cooperation, Dongcheng district has actively developed new cultural and financial cooperation mechanisms and provided a subsidy of 81 million yuan to over 250 cultural enterprises since the end of 2019, according to the authority of the district.
In addition to providing financial support, the district has also rolled out a set of preferential policies to boost its cultural services sector.
Thanks to Beijing's status as a free trade zone and its bonded zone policies, the efficiency of customs clearance for cultural artworks has been greatly improved. The person in charge of the Guardian Art Center, the first "one-stop" art trading service platform in Asia, said the new guarantee models have helped them to save nearly 1 million yuan in deposit for this years' art exhibition.
As one of the participating enterprises of the 2022 CIFTIS, Debi We International Cultural Creative Center, a newly transformed cultural park, will launch a livestreaming program to promote cultural exchange between China and Italia and display its latest progresses in cultural creativities and technological innovations at the upcoming CIFTIS.
