Affected by the current COVID-19 outbreak, Beijing has seen an increase in daily online orders as more residents observe home quarantine measures. JDDJ and JD Shop Now, two of JD.com's logistics brands, teamed up with superstores and e-commerce platforms, including Walmart, Sam's Club, and Yonghui, to bolster support for the delivery of daily necessities.
According to a person responsible for JDDJ's Beijing business, the company has nearly 10,000 branches in operation in the capital and will concentrate on ensuring the delivery of orders placed by supermarkets, convenience stores, greengroceries, and pharmacies. The company has also launched a city-wide contactless delivery service to support residents and businesses amid the latest round of COVID-19 controls.
