Wuhou district in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, will deepen its cooperation with Xiongchuan Hydrogen Energy Technology (Guangzhou) Co Ltd, a leading company in hydrogen energy, in fields of hydrogen fuel cell reactors, hydrogen fuel cell engines, and comprehensive energy station construction.

The Wuhou district government, Chengdu Environment Group, and GIIHG Technology Industry Development Group, have signed strategic cooperation agreements with Xiongchuan Hydrogen Energy at a signing ceremony held on Feb 1. GIIHG Technology Industry Development Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chengdu's Wuhou Capital Investment Management Group.

With a complete hydrogen fuel cell industry chain, Xiongchuan Hydrogen Energy Technology will set up its Southwest headquarters in Wuhou district, according to the agreements.

The first phase of the project will include a hydrogen energy innovative research institute and a hydrogen fuel cell eco-industrial park. The second phase will include a hydrogen energy-focused industrial park, which will produce hydrogen fuel cell reactors and engine systems in line with international standards.

As a major hydropower provider, Sichuan provides a good foundation for the development of the hydrogen energy industry. In addition, Wuhou district is promoting green and low-carbon transformation by vigorously cultivating a culture of clean energy and recycling.

The hydrogen energy industrial project is expected to improve hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and the commercial operation of fuel cell vehicles in Wuhou district. It will also help to build a hydrogen corridor hub and a highland for hydrogen energy industrial clusters, said Wuhou district officials.

Officials also stated that the district will strongly support the construction of the Southwest headquarters of Xiongchuan Hydrogen Energy Technology as well as the hydrogen energy industrial parks. Wuhou will promote the development of hydrogen energy industrial clusters by cultivating talents, as well as jointly attracting and nurturing relevant enterprises.
