China sees ninefold increase in number of high-tech firms over past dedade

High-tech enterprises have made greater contributions to China's innovation-driven development over the past decade. The number of high-tech enterprises in China grew from 39,000 in 2012 to 400,000 in 2022, and their research and development input accounted for 68% of the total from all enterprises across the country, according to a press conference Friday.
