The Beijing International Service Trade Affairs Center recently announced that the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will undergo a significant expansion in 2023. Alongside the National Convention Center and Shougang Park, this year the National Indoor Stadium will also serve as an exhibition space for the event. In addition, a new themed exhibition highlighting environmental services has been added.

This year, CIFTIS will feature a summit for global trade in services, exhibitions, forums and conferences, promotional business talks, achievement release events and supporting activities. The exhibitions will be divided into a comprehensive exhibition and nine themed exhibitions. The comprehensive exhibition will cover four major areas: Achievement Exhibition; Pavilion for Countries; Exhibition Areas of Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; and the Annual Theme Exhibition Area. The themed exhibition will cover nine major sectors, including the environment, supply chains, healthcare, construction, and telecommunications, computer and information services.

The telecommunications, computer and information services themed exhibition is an important science and technology section of CIFTIS. It will display telecommunications services, digital technology, smart living, special exhibition area and a metaverse cutting-edge technology experience center to promote low-carbon development.

The environmental services themed exhibition this year will be presented at two exhibition locations — the National Indoor Stadium and Shougang Park — and will showcase new technologies and applications of ecological environmental protection and green energy conservation.

Currently, more than 40 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in this year’s event.
