Beijing Daxing International Airport witnessed a significant increase in passenger traffic and flight operations in April, with 596 inbound and outbound flights and 101,000 passengers, up 177.2% and 201.8% month on month, respectively, according to Beijing Customs.

The airport's monthly passenger throughput reached an all-time high, surpassing the 100,000 benchmark for the first time since it opened in September 2019.

To streamline customs clearance procedures for passengers, airport customs authorities have implemented an intelligent health inspection system. Passenger mobility has also been improved with optimized navigation systems and an S-shaped queueing layout.

In addition, the airport has integrated customs checks with health inspection procedures, reducing outbound passengers' waiting times by 50%. Moreover, the introduction of a high-speed computerized tomography scanner has improved luggage service efficiency.

With the addition of more airline routes for the summer-autumn flight season, local customs authorities will continue to monitor inbound and outbound flights and passenger flows, ensuring smooth airport operations.
