China has approved the imports of bananas and coffee beans from Honduras starting Tuesday, according to a notice issued by the General Administration of Customs (GAC).

China also ratified access of Honduran white shrimps to its market as the two countries officially signed protocol documents for Honduran aquaculture products on Monday.

To date, the GAC has approved the registration of 10 Honduran coffee bean and nine aquatic products enterprises in China.

Since China and Honduras established diplomatic relations in March this year, the bilateral trade scaled up. In the first four months of 2023, the total value of China's imports from and exports to Honduras jumped 22.9 percent year on year to top 3.89 billion yuan (about 543.55 million U.S. dollars).
