Hunan province is one of the largest tea production bases in China, producing green tea, dark tea, yellow tea, black tea and white tea, thus reputed as "five-color tea."
By the end of 2022, Hunan's tea plantation area had reached 3.45 million mu (about 2,300 square kilometers), with an annual production capacity of 320,000 tons and a comprehensive output value of 105.1 billion yuan. The province plays an important role in China's tea industry.
Prior to the promotion conference, a series of events had been organized, including trade fairs. Nine tea brands from Hunan, including Jietan Tea, Hunan Black Tea, Baojing Golden Tea, Sangzhi White Tea, Shimen "Silver Mountain" Green Tea, Changning Tashan Green Tea, Zhangjiajie Berry Tea, Xinhua Black Tea and Shaoshan Black Tea attended the promotion event in Beijing.

They established precise connections with distributors and dealers in Beijing, further strengthening the communication and cooperation between the production side and the marketing side, broadening the sales channels of Hunan tea products, and greatly promoting the recognition of Hunan tea in the Beijing market.
The event was organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Agriculture and the Hunan Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. Measures like the promotion conference in Beijing can effectively help Hunan tea farmers increase their income, help rural areas build industrial brands, and realize rural revitalization.
