State-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Beijing are gearing up to recruit 28,137 college graduates this year, marking a 43.1% increase from last year, according to officials from the municipal SOE administration.

To date, the recruitment drive has already yielded promising results, with 24,585 college graduates having already signed contracts, and an additional 2,749 expressing their intent to sign, achieving 97.1% of their planned recruitment targets.

This year has seen many SOEs break records in terms of college graduates hired.

To streamline the recruitment process and support college students in their job search, SOEs held various job fairs and lectures at universities from last fall to this spring. The municipal SOE administration introduced an online recruitment platform to facilitate direct communication between companies and college students.

Additionally, these companies have implemented various initiatives to ease the transition from education to employment. These include offering training programs, assigning mentors, and enhancing human resources recruitment, training, appointment, and evaluation systems.
