Beijing, the capital of China, is set to celebrate the Spring Festival with over 1,000 cultural events and activities designed to boost consumer spending and enrich the lives of its residents.

The festivities will encompass a variety of traditional cultural aspects, including temple fairs, lantern festivals, folk performances, and ice and snow sports competitions, aimed at spreading joy among locals and tourists alike.

To cater to the diverse needs of consumers, numerous retail outlets, online platforms, supermarkets, and chain stores have been providing Spring Festival offerings to customers.

With 2024 marking the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac, more than 200 events will be organized by Beijing's time-honored brands, highlighting intangible cultural heritage products adorned with dragon themes.

Additionally, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism is promoting ice and snow tourism through a campaign comprising 78 events. The city's major tourist attractions will also host 25 ice and snow recreational activities.
