Rural online retail sales hit 2.49 trillion yuan in 2023

E-commerce prospered in China's rural areas in 2023, with the online retail sales totaling 2.49 trillion yuan (US$347.3 billion), said Deng Xiaogang, vice minister of agriculture and rural affairs, at a press conference Tuesday.
