The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) has served as an important platform for exhibitors to explore new business opportunities. A series of major cooperation projects that have been launched at the CIFTIS are in full swing.
As the guest of honor country at the 2023 CIFITS, the U.K. sent its largest business delegation to China in four years and held more than 70 events, to explore how the U.K. and China can work together to deepen trade partnership.
A notable cooperation at last year's CIFITS was between a sports service provider from the U.K. and the Guizhou Tourism Investment Group, focusing on the development of extreme and adventure sports tourism in Guizhou province.
As this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, France will be a guest of honor country at the 2024 CIFTIS.
Many French enterprises saw a new market opportunity in China. At the 2023 CIFTIS, the French company Wavelandes showcased its third-generation wave-making technology and established strategic cooperation with Chinese enterprises. The company is now working with Asia Data Group to promote the construction of Sino-French ecological surf parks, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($139 million).
