Innovation is the first driving force for enterprise development and an important prerequisite for developing new quality productive forces, Cao Renxian, a deputy to the National People's Congress and president of Sungrow Power Supply Company, told China.org.cn in an interview in Beijing during the annual gathering of the country's top legislature.  

Cao said enterprises should encourage innovation with heavy input and are allowed to fail in innovative practices. It's important for enterprises to establish collaborative relationships with well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad in order to jointly undertake research and make breakthroughs, he noted.

Headquartered in Hefei, Anhui province, Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ltd. focuses on the field of new energy power generation, and produces photovoltaic inverters, wind power converters and energy storage systems, which have been exported to more than 170 countries and regions worldwide. 

The company also actively joins Belt and Road cooperation and supplies Chinese experience, products and technologies to various countries and regions throughout the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Southern Africa.

Cao said that the company will continue its efforts to improve technology innovation capabilities and increase scientific research on key technologies involving photovoltaic power, new energy storage, hydrogen energy, new energy vehicle control systems, and charging equipment.
