Following the recently completion of Chinese home appliance giant Haier's takeover of New Zealand's Fisher & Paykel Appliances, Haier Group CEO Zhang Ruimin, a delegate to the ongoing 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said that the company hopes to maximize Haier's gains from the deal, so that the acquisition will have a "multiple effect" on profits.
