Tanzi (demijohn) Ridge:
With an attitude of 262.48 meters, it is where the reconnaissance and survey spot set for the construction of the Three Gorges Dam locates. The sightseeing stand on top of it looks like an upside-down demijohn, so its name. It is the best place to have a panoramic view of the Three Gorges Project.
The first City of Head Area on Three Gorges Dam project-the new seat of the Zigui County
The new seat of the Zigui County, the first to have completed relocation from the reservoir area, is located adjacent to the Three Gorges Dam and is now a modern garden-like tourists’ county seat. The new Zigui County seat was awarded the China Model Settlement Environment Prize and successively named Top Tourists' City of China, Sanitarian City of China and Garden County Seat of China.

Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Village-Niuling Town, Guojiaba Township, Zigui County:
The Niuling Village of Guojiaba Township, Zigui County was deprived of its 345 mu of citrus plantation by the Three Gorges reservoir. Except 120 villagers were relocated to other places, 800 were relocated locally. Since 1997, the new Migrants Village has been built up adhering to the mode "One road along the line, one row along the road, one plantation behind the row". They developed ecological agriculture by establishing the 800-mu Model Nuisance-free Citrus.
Relocated Enterprise-Xingfa Group
The Xingfa Group in Yichang Hubei Province is a large-scale fine chemical enterprise developed adhering to the guideline "Chemical as the priority, electric mineral as the base, and the combination of research, industry and trade as the means" and leveraging on the abundant dydro-power and phosphorite ore resources around. It now controls one listed company and possesses total assets amounting to more than 4 billion RMB and a work force of 4,500. It is now respectively the largest sodium hexametaphosphate manufacturer in the world and the largest fine phosphorite product manufacturer in China.
The New Migrants’ Town in the area of High Gorge with Flat Lake-Xinji Town of Guizhou Township, Zigui County
The Xinji Town of Guizhou Township has the fame "the First Town in the area of High Gorge with Flat Lake" for its beautiful environment, rural but civilized atmosphere and well preserved ecology, and was on the list of National Small Town Economic Development Model.

Migrants Movement School-Zigui Hope Primary school Supported by Hong Kong Garrison
The Hong Kong-based PLA army-sponsored Zigui Hope Primary School was built in the Citrus Garden community in 1998 with the 1.2 million RMB donations from the Hong Kong-based PLA army after the seat of Zuigui County was relocated to Maoping. The school has now 17 classes, 947 pupils and 57 teachers and employees.

Geologic hazard control project-the Zhigui County Three Gorges Reservoir Area Bank Slump Prevention Project
The 5,080-meter reservoir bank from the Fenghuang Mountain to the Fruit market in northwest of the Zigui county seat is made up of dozens of meters-thick granodiorite. In order to prevent bank slump after mpoundment, preventative measures such as slope expansion by backfill, placed rockfil protection and water interception and drainage have been taken, providing protection to more than 8,000 people, 40,000 square meters of buildings and the provincial highway and other public infrastructure facilities.

Yiling District Dingjiaba Swage Treatment Plant
The Yiling District Dingjiaba Waste Liquid Treatment Plant in Yichang City is among the second batch water pollution prevention and treatment projects approved by the national government for the Three Gorges reservoir area. The total investment reaches 21, 491, 800 RMB; a primary and secondary pipeline network of 6175 meters has been built and the scale of construction reaches 8000 tons/day. The A2O biological treatment process is adopted, enabling the product water to meet the Grade B effluent standards specified in the Town Waste Water Treatment Plant Pollutant Effluent Standard (BG18918-2002). Plant Diversity Protection Base: Yichang Dalaoling Provincial-Level Natural Reserve
The Provincial Yichang Dalao Ridge Nature Reserve is at the reservoir head of the Three Gorges Project with a growing forest stock of 79 m3. The forest cover rate of the core area reaches 97%. Its fauna and flora resources feature abundance, diversity and rarity. The number of proved vascular plants amounts to 170 families, 768 genera, 2085 species; the number of the terrestrial spinal animals amount to 59 families, 134 genera, 185 species. It is the first flora diversity reserve to be established in the Three Gorges reservoir area by the national government.
